Old Town in Tallinn is considered to be the best-preserved medieval town in Northern Europe. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. During 2 hours walking tour we will show you all major and most characteristic sites of Tallinn's Old Town and explain the history of Tallinn by telling interesting stories.

We will start with the Lower Town and see the Latin quarter, where Dominican Monastery was built in 13th century. You will also visit Pikk street that used to be the main street of the town in Middle Ages. We will find there the houses of merchant and craftsmen guilds. While discovering history of Tallinn we will see the churches of the Holy Ghost, St Nicolas and St. Olaf. After a walk in the Lower Town we will head to the Upper Town, going up the Short Leg street, you will understand why people say that Tallinn is the town that limps. There we will see two cathedrals: Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Nevskii and Lutheran Cathedral of St. Mary. Next to the cathedrals we’ll find the Toompea Castle which hosts the Parliament of Estonia and one of the towers of the castle called Tall Herman. Then you'll have a chance to enjoy breathtaking view of the city from one of the viewing platforms. After visiting the Upper Town we will go back to the Lower town along the Short Leg street and finish the tour on the Town Hall Square.
